Lockhart Hornby PLLC is a Charlotte-based business law firm focused on providing useful, practical legal services to start-ups, small businesses, emerging-growth companies, mid-size companies, entrepreneurs and investors. Whether giving advice, planning a transaction, writing a contract or negotiating a deal, when we are not listening to our clients, a large part of what we do involves speaking with our clients or for our clients. In a sense, we are a voice of our clients' interests and objectives. We may sound an alarm, signal the call to action or counsel caution. But one way or another, as we listen, plan, analyze, adapt and execute, we lend our voice to persuade, clarify and enforce.

Litigation

Disputes are unpleasant and can be a major distraction. Yet, disputes are inevitable realities in business. Whether a dispute is a routine skirmish or a bet the company battle, we serve as an advocate - a champion in our client's corner. A business dispute can produce as much drama and distraction as divorce. So we strive to be objective with sound advice but dogged in our determination and tenacious in our work.
